Excellence, Innovation, Integrity: Arquer Diagnostics’ values underpin everything we do and the way we do it! …and as we grow, we rely on the recruitment of likeminded people, focusing on the development of a pipeline of innovative cancer tests with the same passion and commitment
Here at Arquer Diagnostics, being part of our team means more than just working together: It’s about collaboration and trust, in a way that just SME can foster; it’s about pooling our collective skills together to meet the demands expressed by patients and clinicians alike.
Arquer Diagnostics is led by our dynamic CEO, Nadia Whittley. With a strong background in strategic, commercial and operational functions, she is a senior executive in the life sciences sector, spanning several therapeutic areas.
Nadia is backed by the experienced members of the board who draw on a wealth of wide ranging and in-depth experiences across the life sciences and investment sector.
As most SMEs, Arquer’s team is quite lean and its members need to cover the large range of skills needed to pursue our challenging goals. Most activities such as product research & development, management of clinical trials, regulatory and financial affairs and product commercialisation are managed in-house.
In the last couple of years, our team has grown to be predominantly female. While this has come about organically, we believe it is something to be celebrated and utilised as a competitive advantage. Our management is particularly focused in supporting gender equality as well as fostering the growth of women especially in the healthcare industry.
Let’s meet some of the outstanding women in our team:
Sarah Couch – Chief Technical Officer
Sarah has a technical background in assay development within the IVD industry, with over 16 years of practical experience of research and development. Sarah oversees the development activities as well as our quality systems through a team of 3 female scientists..
Dr Jacqui Stockley – Research and Development
Jacqui has a strong cancer research background with over 12 years of experience in urological cancer research. Jacqui is overseeing all research activities, our clinical trials and the feasibility testing together with one other female researcher.
Louise Flintoft – Marketing
Louise has over 10 years’ sales and marketing experience in the biotech and companion diagnostic industries, and has led global product marketing and launch campaigns, across Europe and the USA. Louise is overseeing the roll-out of ADXBLADDER across new regions and the positioning of new products in development.
“During my many years in the Life Science business, I have been fortunate to have had many great mentors: developing talents and supporting women in business is now imperative for me.” – Nadia Whittley CEO
Women In Innovation
If, like us, you are passionate about women in the workplace, then you need to hear about Women in Innovation from Innovate UK. Since July 30th, applications have been open for their second annual competition, which celebrates up and coming innovative business women who are likely to make an impact towards one of the Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges, fuelled only further by this prestigious award. While the Arquer Diagnostics team are unfortunately ineligible to enter the Women in Innovation Awards 2018, we encourage any leading business women to enter if they can. With 8 awards up for grabs, each with a £50,000 grant and a bespoke package of mentoring, coaching and business support, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. It’s so refreshing to see inspiring women in business showcased in this way, and to be a part of it would mean to be a part of inspiring and encouraging change for the better.
